Fluid loss, lost
... And now I weigh the same as before. Crash diets never work. To really lose weight, you need a responsible long-term plan of at LEAST a day or two.

It's about making a lifestyle change. But I gave up and regressed back into my habitual water drinking.

Ja - and you'll go nuts weighing yourself every day. I gained 5 lbs since this morning and I haven't even eaten much - and I'm sure tomorrow morning I'll be back to what I was this morning.

i used to eat wheat thins and drink vodka the day before my weight watchers weigh ins to make sure i came up as down in weight for the week. i usually did, which means i had to be losing at some point...

the moral of the story is, cheaters win & you should drink more vodka.

First of all, wheat thins and vodka is a great idea for a party theme. Second, it reminds me of a classic by Anthrax:

I wish I had some goddamn milk
My Cheerios just ain't the same

I'll just wait till Mommy buys more

and now you've lost muscle mass and actually added more volume...

the muscle tissue is consumed by the body first (it has a higher density too); now fat cells are preparing for instances where you consume little or nothing (fat cells have a lower density, therefor 5lbs of fat will have far more volume than the muscle you lost.

toss in a few other lovely medical issues and you've got one hell of a party!

blood pressure
stomach lining decreases- leading to a higher incidence ulcers

(watch those kidney stones!)

(you've got to love the british medical journals- they are always soooo happy!)

1) Nearly all the mass I gained back came from water I had later in the day, not fatburgers.

2) I don't care how my fat cells respond in the short term, because in the long term they're in for a rude awakening.
